Our Plans for a Covid-19 Safe Event

Ticket refunds 

We are delighted to announce Flying Legends Airshow tickets are now on sale.

We are confident that the UK Government Roadmap of relaxing the lock down will continue as planned. Should we be confronted with changes to this plan and suffer a limitation on visitor numbers or any other restriction we will have no alternative other than to cancel this year’s Flying Legends show.

In the unlikely event of such cancellation, tickets will be fully refunded, minus the booking fee.

The comfort and safety of our Flying Legends family is paramount.

Over the last months, we have been working with our local authority partners in Northampton and representatives from Public Health England to bring you a safe event. In line with current government guidance and subject to the Prime Minister's planned 4-step roadmap of relaxing lock down measures by 21 June, we are planning for Flying Legends to go ahead as normal.


In addition to our normal event safety procedures, we will be adding a number of measures to ensure the air show is a Covid-safe event. These include:


  • Reduced capacity to allow more free space for guests

  • Hand sanitiser stations located throughout the site

  • Freestanding single toilets across the site

  • Regular cleaning of all toilets and high touch points during each day by a dedicated cleaning team

  • Reduction of pinch points and queueing areas through site design

  • Distance prompts in areas where queueing may occur – catering, toilets, ticket entry points

  • Contactless payments at all catering and as far as possible with traders

  • Covid-19 screening for all event staff, contractors and volunteers prior to arrival on site along with daily health declarations

  • Face coverings for all event staff that may come into close contact with guests – such as security, catering and ticket check operatives


NHS Test and Trace

We are required by law to record the details of everyone aged 16 or over (name, phone number or email) and date attending the air show. This information is gathered during the booking process, but we encourage everyone to share this with us onsite using the NHS Covid-19 App and NHS QR code on arrival. Your details will be stored for 21 days and supplied to NHS Test and Trace on demand.


Covid-19 status and Vaccine Passport

We continue to follow government updates and will adhere to any revised guidance that may result from the Government’s Events Research Programme (ERP) in May, which may include the requirement for guests to show a Covid-clear status as a condition of entering the event. We will update all ticket holders prior to arrival on site once we have more details.


You can help us too

We politely request that you stay at home if you are feeling unwell, are isolating due to a contact trace, or have Covid-19. If you become unwell on-site then please seek help/inform a member of staff or steward, they will call our medical team who will give you a face mask and assist you to leave the site safely.
